New Delhi: Former Team India captain Mohammad Azharuddin believes young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant can take command of the Indian team in the future. Pant is proving to be hit in all the formats of cricket at the moment. Not only batting and wicketkeeping but now the responsibility of captaincy on his shoulders has also come. In the absence of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant has been made captain of the Delhi Capitals. Azhar is also very happy about this.

Azharuddin tweeted and praised Pant. He wrote, "Rishabh Pant has been in the best form for the past few months, which is establishing himself in all the format. It would not be surprising if the selectors see him as captaining Team India in the near future. His attack mindset game will prove to be very beneficial for India in the coming time.''

Let's say that the 23-year-old Pant has shown his talents in all three formats in the past few months. He had played a spectacular inning of 97 runs in the third Test against Australia and played a key role in winning the border Gavaskar Trophy 2-1 by scoring unbeaten 89 in the fourth Test. He continued his best form in the domestic Test series against England and played a match-winning innings for the team.
