Varanasi: The crime case that has come up recently is that of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh where the mother accused of stabbing and murdering her nearly 11-year-old son with the help of her lover has been arrested by the police. According to the information received, Superintendent of Police (City) Dinesh Singh told on Saturday that, on the basis of information, 35-year-old Shanti Devi and her lover Vikas Modanwal arrested in the murder of an unidentified deceased minor in Rohanian area on February 19 from Manduwadih area. The name of the deceased son of Shanti is Gaurav.

In this case, he further told that, 'Vikas, a resident of Ilia police station in neighboring Chandauli district, lived as a tenant in Shanti's house at Zakha Bajardiha, Bhelupur, for about 22 years. Shanti's husband had already died and her husband had property in the name of son. Due to this reason, the woman planned to kill the son with a lover then her son was killed in Amra Akhri of the Rohanian area and the body was thrown in a drain in the same area."

After being caught by the police in this case, Gaurav accepted the woman's love affair and said that he is a tenant in the woman's house. In the interrogation by the police it is revealed, 'Seeing the deserted between two trucks near the police post, Shanti stabbed Gaurav on his neck with a knife and he died.'
