MP bus accident: 13 dead, 15 rescued, PM expresses grief

DHAR:  A bus operated by Maharashtra Roadways crashed into Khalghat Sanjay Setu at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh on Monday, killing up to 13 passengers. The incident was reported from the Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragedy. "The bus tragedy that took place in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh is saddening. My thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones. . Rescue efforts are in progress, and local authorities are helping those who need it most "The office of the prime minister posted a quote from PM Modi.

"12 people died and 15 people have been rescued," MP Minister Narottam Mishra said describing that the Maharashtra Roadways bus was travelling from Indore to Pune at the time of the incident. 

The Dhamnod Police and Khaltaka Police rushed to the spot and conducted rescue operations with the help of divers. Thus far, two injured persons have been taken to the Dhamnod Government Hospital in Madhya Pradesh.
