BHOPAL: In a bid to gain better control over Naxal activities in the Dindori district, the Madhya Pradesh government is taking significant steps. Home Minister Narottam Mishra announced the establishment of a new Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) office in the Bajag areas of Dindori. This move aims to introduce more perplexity and burstiness in the efforts to curb Naxal activities.

During a media briefing in Bhopal, Mishra revealed that the Naxalite sensitive police stations of Bajag, Samnapur, and Karanjia would come under this new office's jurisdiction. Bajag will serve as the headquarters for the SDOP office.

In addition to this, the state is actively considering appointing 27 cyber consultants across various important departments like Cyber Police Headquarters Bhopal, Cyber Police Station Bhopal, Cyber Zonal Inspector General of Police of Madhya Pradesh, Police Commissionerate Bhopal, and Indore. These cyber consultants will offer crucial guidance and cooperation during cyber crime investigations. They will also play a vital role in preventing cyber crimes and ensuring cyber security across the state.

As a recognition of the dedicated service of 19 inspectors who are going to retire within the next six months and have not been promoted, the state government has bestowed them with the Honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) designation. In a show of respect for their contributions, they will be given a respectful farewell.

Shifting the focus to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raid, Mishra informed that 11 locations in the state were raided by the NIA, and people were detained for questioning. Following the questioning, they were released with notices, indicating they might be called for further investigation later. However, detailed information about the raid will be provided by the NIA at a later time.

The new measures being implemented to address Naxal activities and cyber crimes show the government's commitment to ensuring safety and security in the state.
