BHOPAL: The government of Madhya Pradesh has raised the number of casual leaves for women employees working at public sector offices.

State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led MP govt has added seven more days of casual leave. The women had previously been granted 13 casual leaves.

The Chief Minister claimed that female employees have to be given more leave because they multitask by handling both home and business duties.

"Women contribute equally in every sector, but they are also responsible for taking care of the home and raising children. Thus, we have agreed to grant all female employees an additional seven days' casual leave," he said.
Now, the women government staff will be entitled to 20 casual leaves. This is on par with  Haryana,Punjab and Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, CM Chouhan declared that female students who pass the Class 10 test will receive training in financial literacy.

After Class 10, girl students will be given women-oriented financial literacy lessons, the chief minister said. He also said, plans would be made to give them training in traditional folk arts, embroidery, and handlooming. 

 Women artisans will be given training in the use of advanced technology in handloom and handicraft through the National Institute of Design (NID) and National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), he said. he said , female students in technical education institutes would receive 60 to 80 hours of training in English, digital and financial literacy,  communication, and work readiness.
