Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra confidently asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to secure over 150 seats in the state assembly elections, in response to the recently unveiled state exit poll outcomes.

Speaking to ANI in Gwalior district, Mishra reiterated his earlier prediction of securing around 150 seats for the BJP. He attributed this anticipated victory to the impactful initiatives spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Ujjwala Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat scheme, which have significantly benefited the underprivileged. Mishra also praised Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for implementing various schemes upon assuming power that have been advantageous for the less privileged sections of society.

Expressing confidence in the BJP's prospects, Mishra condemned CM Kamal Nath's comment about governance being driven by vision rather than television, labeling their vision as deceitful. He highlighted Kamal Nath's previous tenure, citing the lack of farmer loan waivers and unemployment allowances during his rule.

Following the release of the exit poll results, Kamal Nath, a Congress leader, remained resolute in his belief in the Congress government's popularity among the public. He urged party members not to be swayed by most exit polls favoring the BJP and encouraged them to trust in the strength of the Congress workers, assuring that the public's support will be evident in the upcoming vote count on December 3.
