MP: Narottam Mishra pays homage on Baba Amte's death anniversary

Bhopal: Today meetings with ministers have been organized by the Shivraj government in the state. Today is also the death anniversary of India's famous social worker "Baba Amte" (Dr Muralidhar Devidas Amte). Besides the state school education minister Indersingh Parmar, many ministers and leaders have paid tributes. Recently, State School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar has written in a tweet, 'Honorable tribute to Baba Amte Ji, who was honoured with Padma Bhushan, for transforming Narayan service from male service. You will always be remembered for bringing light into the lives of leprosy patients. '


Apart from him, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has also tweeted and paid a soulful tribute to him. He has tweeted and written, "On the death anniversary of Padma Shri, eminent social worker, messiah of leprosy patients, who is known for his "Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva", Muralidhar Devidas Amte Ji (Baba Amte), I pay my respectful and humble tribute. ''


Dr Muralidhar Devidas Amte is known as Baba Amte. He was called the prominent and respected social worker of India. He established many ashrams and communities for the people who are abandoned from society and for the leprosy patients. Anandvan is famous in this list located in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. As a social reformer, Baba Amte also did many other social works. This list includes the Wildlife Conservation and Narmada Bachao Andolan for which he dedicated his life. Baba died on 9 February 2008 at the age of 94 in Vadora in Chandrapur district.
