Bhopal: Today meetings with ministers have been organized by the Shivraj government in the state. Today is also the death anniversary of India's famous social worker "Baba Amte" (Dr Muralidhar Devidas Amte). Besides the state school education minister Indersingh Parmar, many ministers and leaders have paid tributes. Apart from him, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has also tweeted and paid a soulful tribute to him. Dr Muralidhar Devidas Amte is known as Baba Amte. He was called the prominent and respected social worker of India. He established many ashrams and communities for the people who are abandoned from society and for the leprosy patients. Anandvan is famous in this list located in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. As a social reformer, Baba Amte also did many other social works. This list includes the Wildlife Conservation and Narmada Bachao Andolan for which he dedicated his life. Baba died on 9 February 2008 at the age of 94 in Vadora in Chandrapur district.
