Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is witnessing the impact of western disturbances and cyclones these days, due to which many districts are witnessing rain along with thunderstorms. On Tuesday, there is a possibility of rain in many districts with wind speed of 40-50 km per hour. In the next two days, there may be a heat wave in the cities (North Madhya Pradesh) bordering UP. Here, due to the arrival of monsoon in Kerala by June 8, there are indications that the monsoon will arrive in Madhya Pradesh by June 25 this time. Monsoon may also arrive in Gwalior-Chambal division.

According to the Madhya Pradesh Meteorological Department, there is a cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and north-east Rajasthan, due to which light rains with thundershowers may occur in Sheopurkalan, Dhar, Betul, Raisen, Indore, Bhind, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Neemuch, Sagar, Ratlam, Damoh, Seoni and Mandsaur in the next 72 hours. The same storm can also run at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Bhopal will remain cloudy till June 7 and there may be rain along with thunderstorm. Due to cloudcover in Indore on Tuesday, there will be a slight increase in day and night temperatures.

According to the Madhya Pradesh Meteorological Department, due to the influence of a cyclone in the upper part of the air and western disturbance over southern Chhattisgarh and adjoining Telangana, there will be a change in the weather in the districts of the division including Jabalpur after June 8. From June 9 to June 11, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning amidst strong winds. Under the influence of western disturbance, the mercury in Gwalior may go up to 42 degrees Celsius at present, after which, it is likely to reach 44 degrees Celsius. However, between June 15 and 20, the monsoon is also likely to hit the Gwalior-Chambal division. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is expected to reach Kerala by June 8, while the monsoon can also enter Madhya Pradesh by June 24-25. Monsoon will also arrive late in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur. This time Monsoon is expected to come through Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, although before that due to pre-monsoon activity across the state, the rainy season will continue, there may be hail in some places.
