Lucknow: The vajra vehicle of the convoy of former MLA Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari, who was brought to Lucknow from Banda to appear before the MP-MLA court, suddenly broke down on the way. The staff of the Vajra vehicle immediately informed the higher police officials in this regard. The local police then called the mechanic to the spot. The mechanic, after checking the car, pushed the vehicle off. The convoy then proceeded to Lucknow. Mukhtar's son and MLA from Mau Sadar, Abbas Ansari, had posted a series of tweets last night, questioning the officials' arrival in the jail at night to shift Mukhtar from Banda to Lucknow. Abbas had also expressed fears of something untoward.

Earlier in the morning, an ambulance carrying Mukhtar Ansari left for Lucknow from Banda jail. Tight security was also arranged with the ambulance. A Vajra vehicle is also included in it. There are several policemen in the vajra vehicle. The Vajra vehicle was damaged at one place on the way. As soon as the Vajra vehicle was damaged due to the apprehension of the untoward incident expressed by his son Abbas, it started being discussed all over the state. After this, the local police called a mechanic and started the Vajra vehicle.  

Mukhtar Ansari, who is lodged in Banda jail, has been brought to Lucknow on Monday for hearing cases including forgery, cheating and other cases in Hazratganj. Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari, accused in over two dozen cases, is appearing before the Lucknow court on Monday. Mukhtar Ansari's son Abbas Ansari had made a controversial statement during the UP elections, in which he had said that no one will be transferred for six months when the SP government is formed, first everyone will be accounted for, then there will be further postings. In this statement, Abbas was talking about the account book of policemen and other government employees.
