Lucknow: Mafia Mukhtar Ansari was today produced in a court in Uttar Pradesh's Mau from Banda jail amid tight security arrangements by the police. Mukhtar Ansari was ordered to be produced in person in court today by the judge. Today, the court framed charges against 4 accused including Mukhtar Ansari. After the appearance, Mukhtar came into the police van with a smile and said he is banned from speaking.

Mukhtar Ansari was secretly brought to Mau from Banda jail late on Wednesday (September 14). The MP-MLA-Gangster Court had asked all the four accused, including Mukhtar Ansari, to appear in person in court. In the case registered against Mukhtar Ansari and four under the Gangster Act, charges have been framed in the court today after the police presented a charge sheet in the case registered in the fake arms case.  

During his tenure as MLA, Mukhtar Ansari had given a written letter to the DM on his letter pad to approve the arms license and later in the police investigation, the names and addresses of all these arms licenses were found to be fake. In the same case, a case was registered against four accused, including Mukhtar Ansari, at Dakshin Tola police station in Mau.
