Mumbai: Mumbai, Maharashtra's most agile city, has now become the first district in the country to give corona vaccine to 10 million people. Yes, this is being said by looking at the data uploaded on the Cowin portal recently. According to these figures, Mumbai has so far administered vaccine supplements to 1,00,63,497 people. Out of these, 72,75,134 are said to have received the first dose, while 27,88,363 people have received both doses. Not only this, but the portal also stated that a vaccination drive is being carried out at 507 places in the Mumbai district. Out of these, 325 are said to be Government centers while 182 are being run by private hospitals.

Let us also tell all of you that in the last 30 days, on 27th August, the highest number of covid-19 vaccines were administered. In fact, 1,77,017 people were vaccinated that day. According to the same Cowin portal, 1,63,775 doses were given on August 21 and 1,53,881 doses on August 23. Amidst all this, Mumbai registered 422 new Covid-19 cases last Friday and this is the third consecutive day that more than 400 corona cases have been reported.

The overall corona figure is said to have risen to 7,45,434 and the death toll has risen to 15,987. On September 1 and 2, the city had registered 416 and 441 covid-19 cases respectively. This year, Mumbai recorded the highest number of daily cases on April 4, with 11,163, while May 1 has the highest number of 90 deaths during the second wave of the epidemic.
