New Delhi: The fourth match of the five-Test series between India and England is being played at the Oval. Indian opener Rohit Sharma has achieved a special milestone in the match. He joined the list of batsmen who scored 15,000 runs in international cricket. He became the eighth Indian batsman to do so. After this special achievement, his name has now been added to the club of Sachin, Dravid, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, and Mohammad Azharuddin.
Rohit achieved another big milestone in his career in the ongoing fourth match against England. England was bowled out for 290 in their first innings on the second day of the Oval Test. England has taken a 99-run lead over India in the first innings. Batting in the second innings, Rohit completed his 15,000 runs in international cricket. He surpassed former India captain Sourav Ganguly in reaching this figure.
Virat Kohli, the current captain of the Indian team, topped the list of fastest 15,000 runs. He completed his 15,000 international runs in just 333 innings. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who did so in 356 innings at the second position, has been named. Rahul Dravid had achieved the feat in 368 innings and is third. Virender Sehwag played 371 innings to complete 15,000 runs, while Rohit has achieved the feat in 396 innings.
