Mumbai: The Maharashtra government and central agencies have come face to face several times so far following the alleged drugs case that came to light in Bollywood last year. So far, the Maharashtra government seems to be accusing agencies including NCB of defaming the state. These days, senior NCP leader and Maharashtra government minister Nawab Malik is taking over NCB zonal chief Sameer Wankhede and his family. He is constantly attacking them. Last Thursday, he challenged Wankhede saying that he will lose his job within a year. Replying to the minister's reply, Wankhede said, "His best wishes for this and if he has to go to jail to remove drugs from Mumbai, he will be sanctioned.''
In fact, last Thursday, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik addressed the workers and said, "I challenge that Wankhede that you will lose your job in a year. You came forward to put us in jail. The people of this country will not remain silent without seeing you in jail.'' Addressing minority cell workers in Vadgaon Mawal tehsil of Pune district, he said, "There is a parrot from a centre called Wankhede who puts bogus cases. At his house, his son was caught on TV every day, his son in law was caught. My son in law was caught and was in jail for eight months. The court then said that these cases are not applicable to them at all. Maharashtra is being maligned by forgery. The work of recovering thousands of crores of rupees is going to start in Maharashtra through this institution (NCB) and Nawab Malik will not stop without exposing them.''
Further, attacking Sameer Wankhede, he also said, "We have evidence of how many bogus cases there are. His (Sameer Wankhede) father was bogus and he himself is bogus. The people in his house are bogus and he cannot stay on the job even for a day after giving such bogus evidence and is set to go to jail. We are going to find evidence of this in the near future.''
