Mumbai Kamala Mill fire: ‘Suffocation’ is prime reason behind deaths says postmortem reports

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Dec. 29 (NT): As per Post-mortem reports of those lost battle of life in Kamala mill blaze in Mumbai have exposed that suffocation was the prime reason behind all deaths.

Dr Rajesh Dere who is practicing in King Edward Memorial (KEM) hospital and performed the post-mortems affirmed the reason of deaths.

The massive fire in Kamala Mills Compound in the Lower Parel area has claimed fifteen lives till now.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in a press release also stated that fourteen people have gone through injuries, out of which two are in a critical condition.

Eleven of the dead have been recognized; though, the identity of three still remains unheard of.

For now, transmission of the TV channels ET Now, Mirror Now, Zoom and TV9 Marathi located close to the accident spot have also been affected because of the fire.

This massive fire broke out at Kamla Mills compound of Mumbai in the wee hours of Friday morning.

CM Devendra Fadnavis gives assurance of an in-depth inquiry for Mumbai-Massive fire broke out.

 “Disturbing to know about the loss of lives in unfortunate #KamalaMills fire incident in Mumbai.My thoughts are with the families who lost their loved ones and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.Directed the BMC Commissioner to conduct an in-depth inquiry”, He tweeted. (NT)
