Mumbai: People protesting at the Gateway of India in protest against the violence on 5 January at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi, the country's capital, have now been shifted to Azad Maidan. The Mumbai Police is examining and noteing the names of the people who came to protest against the JNU attack at Azad Maidan. Police say that they want to ensure that those who came to the Azad Maidan to protest have gone back from here.

The second reason is also being told that if the police take any legal action against these people in the coming days, then they will have evidence. So that it can be ascertained that these people had come to Azad Maidan to take part in the protests and they had recorded their names with the police. Let us tell you that the protesters who had gathered at the Gateway of India in protest against the JNU violence were removed by the police on Tuesday morning.

It is being told that last night posters of Free Kashmir were seen in Mumbai. After which the police have decided to shift the protesters to Azad Maidan in view of the security of this sensitive area. In fact, the police feared that tourists and people visiting the Gateway of India might have problems with this Protest, hence the police sent the protesters to Azad Maidan.
