Mumbai: Mumbai's Vashi Government Railway Police (GRP) has recovered a fixed deposit (fixed deposit) of Rs 8.77 lakh, Rs 96,000 in bank account and Rs 1.75 lakh in the possession of a slum beggar Biradichand Pannaramji Azad. The 82-year-old beggar was killed on Friday while crossing a railway track between Mankhurd and Govandi station. The GRP is trying to contact Azad's son who lives in Rajasthan.

Police found the beggar's body lying on the railway track. After which GRP registered a case of accidental death. Locals identified him as Azad who begged on the harbor line. Vashi GRP Senior Police Inspector Nandkumar Saste said, 'We reached his hut to do further investigation. A neighbour told us that Azad lived alone and has no relatives. We searched his hut to find out something about his family. '

Praveen Kamble, sub-inspector of Vashi GRP, who was investigating Azad's hut, said, "We have found four big cans and a gallon there. He put coins of one, two, five and 10 rupees inside them in plastic bags." Was. We counted the coins from Saturday evening to Sunday and it came out to be 1.75 lakh rupees. '
