Mumbai: Corona cases are on the rise in many states including Delhi-Mumbai in India. In the last 24 hours, 1377 new corona cases were reported in Mumbai while one corona patient died. There are 496 new cases reported in Delhi. In view of the growing crisis in Corona, a yellow alert has been issued under the Graded Response Action Plan in Delhi. In Delhi, Omicron has now picked up momentum.

Delhi on Tuesday received the highest number of 63 omicron cases in a day, the largest number of omicron patients found in a day in any region. Thereafter, the total number of omicron cases in Delhi has gone up to 165. Rajasthan, on the other hand, has reported 97 new corona cases on Tuesday. Active cases in the state have increased to 438. Meanwhile, curfew has been imposed in Delhi from 10 pm to 5 am while Delhi Metro, restaurant, bar have been instructed to operate at 50% capacity.

Maharashtra has the highest figure of the same omicron case. While the total number of cases has increased to 167, Gujarat ranks third with 73 cases. 57 cases have been found in Kerala. The number of omicron patients in India has increased to 653. Monday has received the highest number of 135 cases of omicrons in a day. After the entry of Omicron in Goa and Manipur on Monday itself, the variant has now spread to 21 states and Union Territories.
