'Custody', the recently released film by Naga Chaitanya, is getting a digital release. Despite high hopes, the film, which was released in Tamil and Telugu on May 12, received a mixed reaction from spectators. The film failed to wow audiences, earning only Rs 26.8 crore at the box office. Custody is now expected to reach home audiences one month after its theatrical debut.
About the OTT release, director Venkat Prabhu said, “Custody is a unique blend of drama, action, and thrill, crafted to cater to the tastes of the audience. With Naga Chaitanya in the lead, we have explored a new layer to the character, which he plays to perfection. And Kriti Shetty lights up the screen with her presence and charm. Additionally, working with the legendary composer Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, and the immensely talented Yuvan Shankar Raja for the first time is like a dream come true.'Custody' is extremely special for me."

The OTT platform Amazon Prime Videos has acquired the digital rights to Naga Chaitanya's film. After one month, the film will be released on demand in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Custody, on the other hand, was released in Telugu and Tamil theaters. The dubbed versions can now be viewed on the OTT platform. Custody will be available for streaming online on Amazon Prime Videos beginning June 9. The platform made the announcement official on social media with a poster depicting Naga Chaitanya and Arvind Swamy.
'Custody' is an action-drama about Shiva (Naga Chaitanya), a new constable assigned with the high-risk mission of conveying a dangerous criminal named Raju (Arvind Swami) to court in Bengaluru. The whole police force, however, wants the witness dead. The film's female lead is Krithi Shetty. Custody will also mark Naga Chaitanya's Tamil debut, as it is his first bilingual film. In the drama, Arvind Swami portrays the adversary, and Priyamani plays an important role. The film's supporting cast includes Sarathkumar, Sampath Raj, Premgi Amaren, Vennela Kishore, and Premi Vishwanath.
