Vizag: Following his fourth oath-taking ceremony in Vijayawada, newly appointed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu embarked on his first pilgrimage to the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala on Thursday. Prior to assuming office, Naidu offered prayers at the revered temple, expressing his determination to reform the administration of Tirupati-Tirumala.

Addressing the media, Chief Minister Naidu raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the management of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) during the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy regime. He underscored his commitment to eradicating corruption and safeguarding the integrity of 'Hindu Dharma' in Tirumala.

Asserting his resolve to build a poverty-free society and position Andhra Pradesh as a leading state in India, Naidu emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and corruption. He vowed to uphold accountability and transparency in governance, promising swift action against wrongdoers.

"By 2047, the Telugu people will lead globally. Andhra Pradesh will emerge as the top state in the country. We will not tolerate any form of crime. Those who commit crimes and then level false accusations against us will face consequences. Political machinations will not be tolerated. We will reward the virtuous and punish the corrupt," declared the TDP leader.

Accompanied by his family, including his wife, son Nara Lokesh, daughter-in-law, and other relatives, Chief Minister Naidu made a special trip to Tirupati, where he spent the night before offering prayers at the temple early Thursday morning.

Later in the day, Naidu is expected to return to Amaravati to assume his responsibilities at the Secretariat. Among his immediate tasks will be signing files related to electoral promises, teacher recruitment, and enhancements to social pensions for beneficiaries, according to sources.
