Lucknow: A video of Namaz inside a bank in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The video is being told of the city branch of HDFC Bank. Later, a fast-iftari program was organized inside the bank itself. The name of the branch manager who organized the Iftari program is Zaheer Abbas. The event took place on Friday (April 22, 2022). Hindu organizations have expressed strong objection to this and demanded action from the administration.

According to a local portal, Muslim account holders of the bank were invited to this iftar party. Namaz was offered in front of the bank counter. All preparations were made for the iftari. Biryani was arranged in the meal. Along with the food, the bank staff also gave gifts for the fasting people. Member Mujeeb Ansari, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Osama Ansari, branch manager Zaheer Abbas, deputy branch manager Anwar Rizvi and Abdul Ansari attended the bank. Bank's manager Zaheer Abbas gave a statement after this iftari that, 'It used to be every year.

But for 2 years we were not able to do this due to Corona's affair. This is good for connecting with people. Roza Iftari is a good thing in our religion of Islam. Getting iftari daily gives merit. At the same time, Akhilesh Singh, the state student head of Bajrang Dal from Barabanki, has told the media that, 'We demand strict action from the administration against the accused of prayers in the bank premises. This has not been done unintentionally, but Ghazwa-e-Hind's thinking is behind it. Bajrang Dal's Awadh province convener Sunil Singh said, 'Today the bank has offered prayers. Will read elsewhere tomorrow. Administration should take action on all these.
