Prayagraj: Anand Giri has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the death of Mahant Narendra Giri. Earlier, Anand Giri was questioned by the police for 12 hours in connection with Narendra Giri's death case. According to sources, Anand Giri was questioned by different police officials by showing suicide notes. Anand Giri said, "I am being framed." It should be investigated.

It may be recalled that the CJM court in Prayagraj has ordered that Anand Giri be sent to judicial custody. Anand Giri as well as Hanuman temple chief priest Adya Tiwari have also been sent to judicial custody. Both have been sent to Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj. Mahant Narendra Giri, on the other hand, has been given the Bhu Samadhi at Prayagraj as per his wishes. A large number of devotees thronged to pay obeisance to Mahant Narendra Giri.

Two questions are being raised by the death of Mahant Narendra Giri. The first is about the death, murder or suicide of Narendra Giri and the second question is, who will succeed in Mahanta's throne after his death? The name that is emerging as the successor is Balvir Giri. But Balvir Giri's change of statement sings questions about him too. The Akhara Council has just postponed the announcement of Balvir Giri's name. The question remains whether Balvir Giri will be the new successor of the monastery or anyone else.
