New Delhi: The Congress is organizing a program to mark 100 years of the birth of former Prime Minister of India and veteran Congress leader PV Narasimha Rao. In an event held in Delhi on Friday, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi praised Narasimha Rao, saying that the Congress feels proud of her 'achievements and contributions'.

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi said that when Narasimha Rao became the Prime Minister of the country, the country was going through a severe economic crisis, and due to his bold leadership, the country managed to overcome many of these challenges. Now on this whole development, former PM Narasimha Rao's grandson and Telangana BJP leader NV Subhash has raised questions. He said how did it take Congress 16 years to praise his (PV's) contribution? NV Suresh said that Sonia and Rahul never participated in any program related to PV Narasimha.

According to the news agency ANI, NV Subhash said, "Why did it take the Congress 16 years to praise PV Narasimha Rao's contribution. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to attend any event organized till date on her birth anniversary and death anniversary Did not arrive." Let us tell you that Narasimha Rao, born on 28 June 1921, died on 23 December 2004. Now the Congress is organizing his birth centenary celebrations.
