The Government of India celebrates National Civil Service Day on 21st April every year, on which all India Service officers are felicitated for their work. These awards are given to provide the best facilities to those citizens. This instills a sense of better performance among the authorities. They also get the opportunity to instill confidence in themselves to meet new challenges over time.

On April 21, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of Independent India, addressed the first team of the Public Service Commission of India as Steel Frame and India. The first event on the occasion was held on April 21, 2006, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. So let's know about the purpose of National Civil Service Day.

The day aims to rededicate and commit ourselves to citizens by members of the IAS and the State Administrative Service.

On this occasion, all officers of the Central and State Governments are felicitated by the Prime Minister of India for their excellence in public administration.

During this award ceremony, All India Service officers get an opportunity to meet each other. So that they can know about the ongoing programs in other parts of the country. And they also help people know what they are benefiting, and what the problem of people across the country is.

So let's talk about the Prime Minister's Award...

The Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration is presented in three categories.  The honors and awards were formed in 2006, under this scheme, all officers are elected as individuals. The award carries a post, a scroll, and a cash amount of one lakh.

In the case of a group, the total prize includes an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs. Each person is a partner of a maximum amount of Rs. 1 lakh cash for an organization is limited to 5 lakhs.  Not only that, every officer waits for this day every year. It also provides information about the work being done in other parts of the country.
