Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir CM and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah has termed the bill on Jammu and Kashmir as unconstitutional. We want a peaceful resolution of every issue, we will go to court against this bill," Abdullah said.  Farooq Abdullah said, "As soon as the doors open we will come out and fight, we will go to court. We have not taken the gun, we are not going to throw grenades, we believe in peaceful solutions. They want to murder us, my son is in jail.

Farooq Abdullah further said that he did not expect Union Home Minister Amit Shah to lie. "Why would I sit at home at my own discretion when my territory is burning, when my people are being stung in jail," he said. This is not the India I believed in. Earlier on Tuesday in the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah said in a statement by Ranpa MP Supriya Sule that Farooq Abdullah has neither been arrested nor detained. They are at their residence at their own discretion.

The Lok Sabha was debating the Jammu and Kashmir reorganisation bill. Meanwhile, NCP MP Supriya Sule said, "Farooq Abdullah sits in the seat next to me and he has come from Jammu and Kashmir. His voice is not heard in the House. This discussion will always be incomplete without him," Amit Shah replied.
