Srinagar: National Conference (NC) leaders have met former CM and NC national president Farooq Abdullah. A 15-member delegation of National Conference leaders met Farooq Abdullah at his residence in Srinagar. The court also met Farooq Abdullah's son Omar. On this occasion, Farooq Abdullah also accompanied the party leaders to the roof of the house. He was also accompanied by his wife Molly Abdullah.

The former CM father-son has been under house arrest since the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Farooq Abdullah, 81, is under house arrest at his residence in Srinagar, while Omar Abdullah is under house arrest in the state guest house. Party spokesperson Madan Mantu said that the delegation had met Governor Satyapal Malik and had sought his permission to meet the two senior leaders of the party, following which the governor gave his permission.

Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday allowed a delegation of National Conference (NC) leaders to travel from Jammu region to Srinagar to meet party president, Farooq Abdullah and vice-president Omar Abdullah. On August 5, Section 370 was abolished from the valley by the Modi government, after which all the separatist leaders were put under house arrest.
