New Delhi: In Modi Sarkar 2.0, Home Minister Amit Shah held separate meetings with Mizoram CM Zoramthanga, non-governmental organizations and civic organizations in Aizawl and assured that a special clause would be included in the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill so that Along with Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, his state has come from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan and due to people who have got Indian citizenship, Prabha Committee does not.

It is noteworthy that the Inner Line Permit System works in these three states ie Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. Amit Shah said that this system needs to be strengthened more in these states. Shah stressed that it is necessary to do this so that the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill does not have an adverse effect on the state.

The CM of Mizoram told Shah after the end of his meeting that, the Home Minister has decided that a special sub-section or clause would be added to the proposed bill, which would include special provisions for Mizoram. The Ministry of Home Affairs wants that before introducing the Bill in the House, particular sub-section or clause should be introduced. This special clause will help in strengthening the ILP (Inner Line Permit) in the states.
