The counting of votes for the Vellore Lok Sabha seat begins today In Tamil Nadu. The counting of votes for the Vellore Lok Sabha seat is going ahead after the 11th round of counting of votes.The DMK candidate DM Kathir Anand is leading after the 11th round of counting. At the same time, AIADMK candidate Ac Shanmugam is trailing by 14,214 votes.
For your information, voting took place during the Lok Sabha elections in April for several other seats in Tamil Nadu, during the Lok Sabha elections, raided the Vellore Lok Sabha seat and seized cash for votes. The elections were then cancelled here.
The elections were held on August 5. There is a tough fight between AIADMK's AC Shanmugam and DMK DM Kathir Anand. A total of 28 candidates, including three women, were in the fray for the Vellore Lok Sabha seat.Vellore has 14.32 lakh voters in 6 Lok Sabha constituencies with 71.51 per cent votes.
