The Supreme Court had on Thursday refused to hear the petition on article 370. The Supreme Court had said that it was the appropriate bench which would take a decision in the matter. A bench of Justice NV Ramana had said that they did not have a roster to hear it. The petition can be referred to the CJI. M.L. Sharma had appointed Yachi in court No. 3, Justice NV Ramna.

In his statement, ML Sharma said that the matter can go to the United Nations. The top court then asked whether the constitutional amendment could be challenged in the United Nations. In his petition, Sharma termed the notification on Article 370 and Article 35A as unconstitutional and said that the government is doing it arbitrarily in the country. It also said the president's order was unconstitutional. The Central Government should take a parliamentary stand in the matter.
