Srinagar: Former Finance Minister Altaf Bukhari may announce new organization soon

Former finance minister Altaf Bukhari, who is busy preparing a new political platform in India's state of Jammu and Kashmir, can announce his organization in the next two-three days, if the circumstances are favorable. Meanwhile, his meeting with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) mentor Muzaffar Hussain Baig has also given rise to new political speculation. Bukhari has remained silent in this matter. He says that you just wait, which will be in the interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

For your information, let us tell you that Bukhari has been counted among the powerful leaders of PDP. Those close to Bukhari said that he is currently in the process of intense discussion with his colleagues and supporters about the new political platform. Many old leaders want them to consider the option of rebuilding the PDP before creating a new platform. If he wishes, the new office-bearers can be elected by calling a meeting of the leaders of the PDP, but he has reportedly denied this option.

Bukhari has also met the PDP's mentor Muzaffar Hussain in this matter recently. Baig has criticized Mehbooba's policies several times during the past few months, holding her responsible for the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir. It is being told that Bukhari wants Baig to support him. Mehbooba will be left alone with Baig. In a way, almost all the old leaders and cadres of PDP will go along with Bukhari. Baig's reply was not received till Thursday evening. Bukhari is in the mood to take his next political step only after his reply.
