On Monday, the Indian Navy has started using a new and high-speed high-speed diesel, which will increase the quality of its ships and other equipment as well as reduce carbon emissions. Indian Navy officials said that the High Flash High Speed Diesel (HFHSD-IN 512) with revised technical features would also help the force during exercises with major foreign navies.

In its statement, the Navy said in a statement, "The successful use of new fuels is an important opportunity that outlines the substantial capabilities present in the country from which world-class products can be produced." In the last few months, the Indian Navy, in collaboration with the Indian Oil Corporation, conducted a detailed and comprehensive study on the new fuel, after which it was started to be used.

Officials said that a comparative assessment of existing international regulations was also done before using this particular fuel. This resulted in access to a revised technical feature composed of 22 test criteria, including cetane number, flash point, sulfur content, sediment content, oxidation stability, and cold filter plugging point.
