Raipur police in Chhattisgarh On Friday went out to take action on vehicles parked in no-parking on the main roads of the city. Police here locked many carts and some vehicles were taken to Modhapara police station premises. It is being told that about a dozen of these vehicles belong to those officers of the Income Tax Department, who have been engaged in survey work here for the last two days. The police seized about 20 vehicles, out of which a dozen vehicles belong to the officials of the Central Income Tax Department. As soon as the news of this action of Raipur Police reached the Assembly, there was a ruckus in the House as well. BJP MLA Shivratan Sharma alleged that the state government is obstructing the work of central investigative agencies in Chhattisgarh.

For your information, let us tell you that for the last 30 hours, the income tax team is running a survey of the locations of many traders in the state capital Raipur and some other cities of the state. These include the names of several prominent people including Raipur Mayor Ijaz Dhebar, OSD Arun Pati Tripathi, Excise Department, Anil Tuteja, Vivek Dhanda, President of RERA. For this action, many central income tax teams have arrived here, in which different identification numbers are written. Also, a special sticker has been used in some of these trains. Some of these vehicles have been confiscated by the police.

It is believed that after this action of Raipur Police, the officials of the Income Tax Department came into the can, but Raipur Police is firm on the matter of moving vehicles. After a discussion with the officials, there is a way to invoice the vehicles. It is being told that in some time the police will leave the confiscated vehicles. On the other hand, this dispute also arose in the House on the fifth day of the budget session. BJP MLA Shivratan Sharma alleged that the government in the state was not allowing central investigative agencies to work with their independence. The state government is working to disrupt the work of the investigating agencies. The action of Raipur Police on the vehicles of the Income Tax Department is unfortunate. The government is also trying to influence the investigation of central agencies by adopting such a policy. Badlapur politics should stop the government.
