Amritsar: Punjab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu has been accused by his sister of several allegations. His elder sister Suman Toor has accused Sidhu of leaving their mother in old age "for the sake of money". Suman Toor, who lives in the US, has also called Navjot Sidhu a 'cruel man'. Suman Toor alleged that Sidhu left his elderly mother after their father's death in 1986 and later succumbed to her injuries as a destitute woman at Delhi railway station in 1989.

Suman Toor is currently in Chandigarh, where she alleged during a press conference on Friday that Navjot Sidhu had thrown her and her mother out of the house after the death of her father in 1986. Toor claimed that their mother had died at a railway station in 1989. She added: "We've seen a very difficult time. My mother had been in the hospital for four months. I have documentary proof of what I am claiming.''

Suman alleged that Sidhu broke up with her for the property. She said, 'My father had left property including a house and land, apart from the pension.' She said, 'Navjot Singh Sidhu left their mother for money. We don't want any money from Sidhu. Describing Sidhu as a "brutal person", Suman Toor claimed that he had lied about his parents' separation in an interview with India Today in 1987. Toor said, 'All the claims that Sidhu has made about our parents are false.''
