Amritsar: Punjab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu met former party national president Rahul Gandhi on Friday and withdrew his resignation. Sidhu said, 'I shared all my issues with Rahul Gandhi. Everything has been resolved.' Talking to the media in this regard, Punjab AICC in-charge Harish Rawat said Sidhu shared his problems with Rahul Gandhi.

We have told him that his concerns will be taken care of here, Rawat said. He has withdrawn his resignation and will resume his duties as PCC president. It may be recalled that Navjot Singh Sidhu, who resigned as the head of the Punjab unit of the Congress, had met former party national president Rahul Gandhi on Friday. After meeting Rahul Gandhi at his residence at Tughlaq Lane, 12, Sidhu had said that all his issues had been resolved.

Congress General Secretary and Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat was also present at the meeting. Just a day earlier, he had met Congress general secretary KC Venugopal and Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat and apprised senior leaders of the issues he had stepped down on in the past.
