Patna: Bihar's Nawada is again in headlines. The incident of a bomb blast in a house has come to light from here. A part of the house has collapsed in the blast that took place on Monday night (April 24). This house belongs to Safiq Alam. Fortunately, the people of the house had gone out at the time of the blast, so no one was hurt. Let us tell you that earlier two people, including ruling JDU leader Manzoor Alam, were arrested in Nawada for possessing illegal weapons.

According to media reports, the blast took place in Idgah area of ​​Gondapur in Nawada. Tenants live in the house where the blast took place, but everyone was out of the house at the time of the incident due to marriage. The impact was so severe that a part of the house collapsed and its debris was scattered far and wide. A fire broke out in the house after the blast. But, the fire brigade team reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Earlier it was believed that the blast would have happened due to the explosion of the gas cylinder. However, it has been found in the investigation that the cylinder kept inside the house is completely safe. Talking to the media, the landlord Safiq Alam has also confirmed this. SDOP and Sadar SDO reached the spot on getting information about the incident. At present the matter is being investigated.

On this incident, the Nawada police has tweeted that, 'On receiving information about a fire in a closed house in Gondapur Islamnagar locality of Nawada city at around 1 am, DIAL 112 and the fire brigade immediately reached the spot and controlled the fire. On inspection of the spot, prima facie it was found to be a case of bomb blast. The spot has been sealed. Forensic team and dog squad are reaching the spot. Investigation is being done while registering FIR. A woman is being interrogated after taking her into custody.

A cache of arms was found at JDU leader Manzoor Alam's house:-

On Sunday (April 23, 2023), Nawada police had recovered many illegal weapons including bombs from JDU leader Manzoor Alam's house while raiding. In this case, the police had arrested Manzoor Alam along with his son and nephew. During the raid, the police had recovered five live bombs, one pistol, seven country-made pistols, one rifle and several live cartridges.
