The roads in the state are changing. The expansion and repair work is going on with thousands of crores. The quality of the work is being put in to the work. At present, work is being done with Rs 5,000 crore. Of these, rs 4,316 crore stretchof roads, rs 684 crore road maintenance and special repairs were taken up. Apart from these, Rs. 2,168 crores are 7,116 km. Recently, The R&B department review edited the order of the roads and bridges. The roads in the state should not be seen anywhere. The R&B department has proposed to the Finance Department that 3,000 km of roads need Rs 303 crore. By December, the R&B department has planned to fill pits on the roads damaged by the rains. The government has appointed CEEs and SETo monitor road repairs. Nabard has been asked to assist under infrastructure development assistance scheme of Rs.1,089 crore for rural roads. On the other hand, the New Development Bank (NDB) is undertaking road projects with a loan assistance of Rs 6,400 crore.

Priority for district main roads

The district will be preferred for the main roads. The total repairs are 2,060 km in three thousand km. The district has proposed to allocate Rs 197 crore for the main roads. 940 km Rs 106 crore will be allocated for state highways.  Passenger car units (PCU) on state highways will take the roads as the first priority for over 6 thousand people a day.  During the last five years of the last government, only Rs 4,150 crore was spent on road expansion and repairs. In the five years from 2014 to 2019, rs 2,748.21 crore budget was spent for rural roads but only Rs 2,103.34 crore was spent. The funds allocated to R&B were diverted to other schemes.

Rs 122 crore for road repairs:
The Panchayati Raj Department of Engineering department has prepared proposals for repairing rural roads damaged by recent rains at a cost of Rs.122.15 crores. Officials have identified 207 roads damaged throughout the state due to the rains in September and earlier. The roads were damaged in 28 places. ENC Subba Reddy said that all the districts of the district sehas have sent the damaged roads details.  The roads were damaged in the area of the road, including the road scarcity, and rs 111.90 crore for the roads. Buildings under the Engineering Department of Panchayati Raj Department in Kurnool district and five schools in YSR Kadapa district were damaged by the rains. Proposals for repairs have been prepared for Rs 1.55 crore.
