Good news for farmers, government to supply quality free electricity

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the farmers would benefit from the setting of meters for agricultural motors. So that not a single rupee will be burdened on farmers. The energy department officials were directed to educate farmers with a wide spread publicity on the issue. Farmers should be provided with quality power for 9 hours in the day. He held a high-level review of the Energy Department and YSR Free Electricity Scheme at his camp office on Monday. The officials in this review have been disclosed by the CM's instructions and instructions.

Quality -ISI Standards
Quality of transformers, meter collection and arrangement should be given top priority. Talk to the Central Government Agency (EESL - Energy Efficiency Services Ltd) if necessary. Farmers should be educated to use ISI standards of motors. Capacitors should also be with ISI standards. The authorities should pay attention to this.  On the other hand, the bid documents have already been prepared for the establishment of 10,000 MW solar power plants and tenders will be called after the judicial preview is completed. Jagan ordered that the process be completed as soon as possible and the projects started.


Officials said that 14,354 linemen have already been trained to educate farmers about the construction of meters. Under all feeders, the power supply is being taken for agriculture. Already 97.5 per cent of the feeders are completed, while the rest will be completed by November.
The review was attended by Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Green Energy Corporation CMD G Sai Prasad, AP Transco CMD N Srikanth, AP Genco MD B Sridhar and Chief Secretary of Finance S S Rawat.
