Kathmandu: Nepal's PM KP Sharma Oli has once again given a controversial statement. This time in his statement, PM Oli has accused India of cultural encroachment. In an event organized at the Prime Minister's residence, PM Oli said that India has violated the cultural facts of Nepal by erecting 'fake Ayodhya'.

Oli claimed that Ayodhya, the city of Lord Shri Ram, is not located in Uttar Pradesh, India but near the Valmiki Ashram in Nepal. PM Oli said that we are still under the illusion that the Lord Shri Ram who married to Sita is an Indian. But in reality Lord Shri Ram is not from India, but from Nepal. Speaking on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti, Oli said that there is a Valmiki ashram near Thori, near Birganj, which is west of Ayodhya, Janakpur. A prince lived there. A place called Valmiki Nagar is currently located in the West Champaran district of Bihar, which also has some area in Nepal. He said how the people of Ayodhya came to Janakpur to marry the king at the place claimed by India?

PM Oli said that there was no telephone or mobile at that time. It was not possible to know which people are from where? Earlier marriages were close by. Therefore, who would come to marry as far away as the city of Ayodhya which India claims? Everyone used to search and get married nearby.
