KATHMANDU:-  Kathmandu is the gateway to tourism in Nepal. it is also the nerve center of the country's economy. It has the most advanced infrastructure of any urban area in Nepal, and its economy is focused on tourism, which accounted for 3.8% of Nepal's GDP in 1995–96. tourism in Kathmandu declined thereafter during a period of political unrest, but since then has improved. In 2013, Kathmandu was ranked third among the top 10 travel destinations on the rise in the world by TripAdvisor and ranked first in Asia.

The city has a rich history, spanning nearly 2000 years, as inferred from inscriptions found in the valley. religious and cultural festivities form a major part of the lives of people residing in Kathmandu. most of Kathmandu's people follow Hinduism and many others follow Buddhism. there are people of other religious beliefs as well, giving Kathmandu a cosmopolitan culture. nepali is the most commonly spoken language in the city. english is understood by Kathmandu's educated residents.

kathmandu's sister cities (lalitpur patan) and Bhaktapur are integral to Kathmandu's cultural heritage, tourism industry, and economy; therefore UNESCO's world heritage site lists all three cities' monuments and attractions together under one heading, "Kathmandu valley-UNESCO world heritage site".

 

POKHARA:- Pokhara, Nepal's most popular tourist destination, is known for its Himalayan range and lakes. pokhara is also well-known for its adventure activities such as boating, trekking, rafting, canoeing, and bungee jumping. Pokhara is a gastronomic paradise for anyone who's had their fill of dal bhat. Has grown from a small town to Nepal's second-largest city mainly thanks to tourism. Pokhara Valley has in recent years grown as a destination for adventure sports such as paragliding and ultra-light aircraft flights. and with boating, bird watching, trekking, and mountain biking as other attractions, Pokhara has it all. Pokhara is warmer than Kathmandu.

PATAN:- Patan, also known as ‘Lalitpur’, the city of artisans, lies 5 km southeast of Kathmandu. and is home to the valley’s finest craftsmen who have preserved such ancient techniques as the repoussé and lost wax process used to produce exquisite sculptures. The city retains much of the old charm with its narrow streets, brick houses, and a multitude of well-preserved Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries (vihar), and monuments. The predominant sound in Patan is that of the tinkering of craftsmen bent over the statuettes they are shaping. Patan durbar square is located in the heart of the city and was once the palace of the kings of Patan.

The square is an enchanting mélange of palace buildings, artistic courtyards, and graceful pagoda temples. A  display of Newari architecture that had reached its pinnacle during the reign of the Malla kings. among its numerous courtyards, the renovated Keshav Narayan Chowk has been converted into a bronze artifact museum. 

 

BHAKTAPUR:- Bhaktapur, known locally as Khwopa and historically called bhatgaon, is a city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal located about 13 kilometers from the capital city, Kathmandu. bhaktapur is the smallest city in Nepal as well as the most densely populated. it is also famous for its cuisine with the jÅ«jÅ« dhau, a type of yogurt made from buffalo milk being the most popular. Bhaktapur's potters and handicraft industries are also known nationwide. due to its well-preserved medieval nature, UNESCO inscribed Bhaktapur as a world heritage site in 1979. Bhaktapur is famous for its amazing 'juju dhau, also known as 'king of curds'. juju that is made of fresh buffalo milk and served in a small clay pot.

PASHUPATINATH:- A  Pashupatinath temple is sited on the banks of the shiva river in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, India. it is one of the most important shrines of the Mandsaur, and lord Shiva in the form of lord Pashupatinath is its primary deity. Its main attraction is a unique Shiva linga displaying eight faces of lord Shiva. The temple is best visited during some local festivals like Teej, Maha Shiv Ratri, Bala Chaturthi, etc. The ideal time to visit the temple is from October to December. This is the time of year when the weather is pleasant and dry. This Lord Shiva temple is the seat of the 13th Jyotirlinga.

PHEWA TAL:- Phewa Lake, Phewa Tal or few lakes is a freshwater lake in Nepal formerly called badam tal located in the south of the Pokhara Valley that includes Pokhara city; parts of Sarangkot and Kaskikot. the lake is also famous for the reflection of mount machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range on its surface. The tall bara hi temple is situated on an island in the lake. it is located 4 km from the city's center chipledhunga. lake Phewa is one of the largest lakes in Nepal. It is situated in Pokhara Valley in the western part of the country.
