Patna: These days the price of lemon is touching the sky and people are keeping it very carefully. One such incident has come to the fore in Bihar's East Champaran where a newly married woman died in a lemon dispute. A bride was murdered in a dispute over plucking lemons in Chainpur village under Chhaudadano police station. His mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law have been accused. Mother-in-law and both sister-in-law are absconding after the incident. There is anger among the local people regarding this massacre.
According to the news received, a newly married woman was assaulted by her mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law in Chainpur village of Chhaudadano police station in East Champaran district. The matter escalated so much that he was killed by strangulation. It is being said that there was a dispute due to the bride breaking the lemon which took a formidable form and the matter reached to the murder.
According to the Chhaudadano police, the deceased woman Kajal Devi (28 years) was the wife of Sunil Baitha, a resident of Chainpur village. Her husband and father-in-law work outside the state. Both were out of the house at the time of the incident. After this incident, the mother-in-law and both the sisters-in-law are absconding. According to the police, injury marks on the head and rope marks were found on the neck of the deceased. Police has sent the body to Motihari Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
