Despite the lockdown in the country, the growing cases of coronavirus are not stopped. In the last 24 hours, 1,993 new cases were reported in the country while 77 people have died. According to the Union Health Ministry, 1,152 people have died in the country so far, while 35,365 people have been infected by the epidemic. However, so far 9,065 people have recovered. Officials say that the difference in data may be due to the delay in receiving data from the states to the central agency as many agencies collect data directly from the states.

Chance of rain and hail at these places

According to the information received from the State and Union Territories, 76 people died on Friday across the country. This includes maximum 26 deaths in Maharashtra, 22 in Gujarat, six in Madhya Pradesh, 5 in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Rajasthan, 2 each in Delhi and Andhra Pradesh, and one each in Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. This is the first death from Corona in Uttarakhand. The death toll has risen to 1,222. Whereas, 2,352 new cases of infection have been found and their number has increased to 37,297.

Number of infected people increases even after lockdown in Delhi

1,008 new cases were reported in Maharashtra on Friday. This is the largest number of new cases in the state so far in a day. This includes 751 cases in Mumbai alone. 11,506 have been infected in Maharashtra and 7,625 in Mumbai. The maximum 10 deaths out of 26 have occurred in Pune. So far 485 people have lost their lives in the state.
