In view of the anger of the people, the administration handed over the body of Haryana Congress State Spokesperson Vikas Chaudhary to the family at 3 PM following the tense situation which lasted till noon on Friday. After performing post-mortem procedures at home in Sector-9, the funeral was performed at Paradise Ashram in Sector-8. Vikas Chaudhary was gunned down by the assailants outside the gym in Sector-9 at 9 a.m. on Thursday. The administration wanted to hand over the body to the family by postmortem on Thursday, but the family refused to conduct a post mortem and take the body until the attackers were arrested. In the night, other Congressmen, including state Congress President Ashok Tanwar, State Vice President Dr. Radha Narula, State Secretary Baljit Kaushik, spent the night camping outside the mortuary at BK Hospital.

At 9 a.m. on Saturday, Congress leaders and family members urged the administration to hand over the bodies, but the administration refused to give the bodies. In fact, Chief Minister Manohar Lal was in Faridabad to attend two functions on Saturday. The administration feared that angry Congress workers would jam when the bodies were found, causing chaos in the city. The administration didn't want to take any risks. When the meeting was delayed, Congress workers led by state chief minister Dr. Ashok Tanwar rushed to meet Chief Minister Manohar Lal. The Congress workers were carrying black bandages on the head and black flags in their hands. Seeing such an atmosphere, the police force stopped the protesters at the main gate of Badshah Khan Hospital. For about an hour, there was a lot of confusion and shock from both sides. While the workers wanted to get out of the gate, the policemen were pushing them back. However, the protesters did not succeed in the front of the heavy police force, then calmed down at the gate. After 3 p.m., the body was first brought to the Sector-9 residence. The funeral was then performed at the Paradise Ashram at Sector-8, Sihi, given by Mukhgni's younger brother Gaurav Chaudhary.
