Kolkata: Preparations for Durga Puja in West Bengal have already begun, though this time again the corona is in the grip of havoc. Lockdown restrictions on corona are still continuing, although people have made up their minds to move around. In such a situation, new rules have now been issued for such people. As per the recently issued rules, those who attend the puja will be required to take both doses of the corona vaccine. At the same time, it will be necessary to wear a mask to go to the pandal. Recently, the Forum for Durga Utsav has laid more emphasis on the immunization of people associated with puja.

In addition, the institution has also issued several more rules. On the other hand, those organizing Durga Puja will be required to follow those rules. The guideline issued by the Forum for Durga Utsav says that "the mandapa should be as open as possible. So that everyone can see the idol without entering the mandapa.''

It also says, 'There should not be a night rush at all. Everyone should be encouraged to see the statue during the day itself. Shobha procession should be taken out with at least people. The mandapa entrance has to be made much larger than the barricades. This will make it possible to maintain social distance. Further, it has been said that 'Visitors should use masks and sanitizers. Otherwise, no one will be able to enter the mandapa. There will be no offering of chopped fruits on the statue. Social distance should be maintained in pushpanjali and sindoor khela. Volunteers need to see that the crowd is under control.'
