A new twist has come about the paddy seed scam of the Indian state of Punjab. Brar Seeds, the first accused arrested in this seed scam, had purchased four quintals of PR-128 seed from Ladowal Seeds Form of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Five bills to buy seeds have also been issued.

The seed of which the PAU did not give the right to sell the variety, how it was sold to Brar Seeds. No PAU official is ready to say anything on this matter. All they have to say is that the person who has bought the seeds should tell how he bought the seeds. Chief Agriculture Officer, Ludhiana Dr Narinder Pal Singh Vainipal said that five bills have been recovered from the owner of Brar Seeds Ludhiana, the main accused arrested in the seed scam. The bill is dated May 4, 2020, in which the bill shows four quintals of seeds purchased from PAU's Ladowal Seeds Farm House on behalf of Brar Seeds.

According to the information received, it is shown sold in the bill at the rate of 70 rupees per kg. These bills are also shown in the FIR lodged against the accused. After this new revelation, the needle of suspicion has started going from the PAU. After all, the seeds which did not reach the common farmers, how the PAU sold the seeds to Brar Seeds. However, the veracity of the bills is still a matter of investigation. If this turns out to be true, then some officials of PAU can get wrapped up in it. The owner of Brar Seeds is Harvinder Singh alias Kaka, whose father has previously been posted as Director Seeds in PAU. PAU Director Seeds Tarsem Dhillon was contacted in the case, then he said that he cannot tell anything about it.
