New Zealand's Minister for Civil Defense, Pini Henre, announced on Tuesday that the state of national emergency would be extended for a second time for seven days to fight the Corona epidemic. This seven-day announcement can be extended several times as needed.

According to the information received this time, Henre said that on the advice of the Director of Civil Protection Emergency Management and after consultation with the Prime Minister, I feel that the state of national emergency should remain in place to fight the corona virus. The National Emergency enables emergency management professionals to perform important tasks in the meantime.
