SYDNEY: To strengthen commercial ties between the two nations, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern visited the Australia-New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF) on Thursday in Sydney.
Ardern stated in a statement that "building on our trans-Tasman trade and economic linkages is important to guaranteeing New Zealanders' economic stability both now and into the future."

Reconnecting through travel and tourism, trans-Tasman innovation potential, workforce shortages and the future of work, post-Covid-19 economic growth issues, and climate change collaboration are some of the subjects covered on the form.

According to data, Australia was New Zealand's second-largest commercial partner after China, with two-way commerce totaling more than $13.6 billion in the year ending in December 2021. The forum, which is typically conducted every 18 months, most recently took place in Auckland in 2019 before to Covid-19.

Separate from the ANZLF, Ardern and Anthony Albanese, the prime minister of Australia, will meet in Sydney on Friday for the first time formally as Australia New Zealand Leaders.
