New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has challenged the Delhi High Court order in the top court in the Bhima Koregaon violence case. It is related to the case of taking the accused Gautam Navlakha from Delhi to Mumbai in Bhima Koregaon violence case. On May 27, Delhi High Court summoned the documents on the basis of which Gautam Navlakha was taken from Delhi to Mumbai. Now the NIA has challenged the matter in the apex court, the matter is to be heard in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

On May 27, during the hearing of Bhima Koregaon violence case, the Delhi High Court had said that the NIA has made haste to move the accused social activist Gautam Navlakha from Delhi to Mumbai, while the matter was under consideration. Recently, the special NIA court has sent Gautam Navlakha to judicial custody till 22 June. Earlier, Navlakha surrendered to the NIA in April due to lack of relief from the apex court.

Navlakha was ordered by the apex court to surrender. After this Navlakha was kept in Tihar Jail. Gautam Navlakha is one of the five human rights activists who were arrested for their alleged involvement with Maoists and their alleged involvement in Bhima Koregaon violence.
