Pune: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken a significant step in the ISIS module case by attaching four immovable properties believed to be 'proceeds of terrorism'. These properties, located in Kondhwa, Pune (Maharashtra), have been linked to 11 accused individuals, including three absconders. The properties were allegedly utilized for the fabrication of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), training sessions related to their assembly, and the planning of terrorist activities.
Under Section 25 of the UA(P) Act, residential houses/flats associated with the accused individuals have been seized. The names of the accused connected to these properties include Mohammed Imran Khan, Mohammed Yunus Saki, Mohammed Shahnawaz Alam, Md. Rizwan Ali, Kadir Dastagir Pathan, Simab Kazi, Zulfikar Ali Barodawala, Abdullah Faiyaz Shaikh, Talha Liyakat Khan, Shamil Nachan, and Aakif Nachan.
The case revolves around a conspiracy by ISIS operatives to instigate terror attacks across Maharashtra, Gujarat, and other regions of India. Their plans included conducting workshops for IED fabrication, scouting jungle areas for firing exercises and potential hideouts, and raising funds through armed robberies and thefts. The NIA continues its investigation into the ISIS conspiracy and the activities of its operatives, aiming to thwart any potential threats to national security.
