Lagos: A plane ready for takeoff at the airport in Lagos, Nigeria, crashed when a man climbed over the plane's fan. The man was later arrested by airport authorities. However, the reasons behind the young man's doing so are not known.
According to the Nigerian news agency, a man was seen climbing a fan of the plane on an A flight at Murtala Muhammad International Airport on Friday. In a statement, Ajman said that after seeing the unidentified man approaching the plane on the runway, the pilot first slowed down the engine, and later when he saw that the person was not stopping, the pilot stopped the engine. According to the airline, after the engine stopped, the person jumped on the fan of the aircraft and tried to enter the cabin.
The pilot immediately reported this on the radio. Officials at the Nigerian airport then rushed to the spot and detained the man. Meanwhile, a person inside the plane made a video of the incident in which the person can be seen walking on the fan of the plane. The young man was later taken into custody by airport authorities and is being questioned.
