New Delhi: Controversy has arisen over the direct entry of Indian woman boxer MC Mary Kom to the Tokyo Olympic 2020 qualifiers. Boxer Nikhat Zarine has written to the Sports Authority of India and the Sports Ministry against this decision of the Boxing Federation of India. She was not given a chance in this qualifier. Mary Kom tweeted and wrote, "I just want a fair chance. It is not right if I am not given a chance in the trial for what I am training for".
