Prevention is key:

6. Avoid direct contact with infected individuals.

Causes of Nipah Virus Infection:

Nipah virus spreads from fruit bats to humans. Contact with infected bats and consuming contaminated food can lead to the spread of this virus.

Treatment of Nipah Virus Infection:

Monoclonal antibody treatment is considered effective against Nipah virus infection. The Indian government imported monoclonal antibodies from Australia last year. Currently, there is no vaccine available against this virus, which spreads through contact with infected animals and people.
